Mary Canady McCollum, age 91, of Lavonia, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at Northridge Health & Rehabilitation in Commerce.

Born February 15, 1931, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lula Mae Vickery Canady. She retired from Lavonia Manufacturing after 49 years of service. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and an active member of the Senior Adults Group.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years: William "Bill" McCollum; son: Gerald McCollum; daughter: Karen Cleveland; brothers: Grady Canady, William Canady, and John Henry Canady; and sisters: Flossie Sanders, Betty Hill, Ruth Chastain, and Pauline Kirk.

She is survived by her son Dan McCollum; daughter: Angela Looney; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Courtney Umbehant officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 1333 Pleasant Hill Road, Martin, GA 30557.
