Mrs. Mary Jane Dial Boyd Packard, 79, of 198 Brown Circle, Hartwell, died Sunday, November 13, 2011 at her home.
Born on July 18, 1932 in Loganville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Dial and Robbie Stevens Dial.She was a homemaker, a member of the Flying Rebels of Atlanta, and a member and former treasurer of the Hart County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.She was a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church and the Live Wire Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughter, Celeste Anda Tomol of Grayson; two sons, W. Greg Boyd of Decatur and Derwin Boyd and his wife Jan of Lawrenceville; a sister, Gertrude Dial of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, Kalie Heaton, James Tomol, Mary Tomol, Jacob Tomol, Christy Martineau, Alison Boyd and Kelly Boyd; three great-grandchildren, Madison Heaton, Victoria Heaton and Hunter Heaton also survive.Mrs. Packard was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Julian Dial and she was twice married, first to the late Wallace Boyd and second to the late Clint Packard.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart and Rev. Dean Kring officiating.Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge GA.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday night.The family is at the home, 156 Brown Circle, Hartwell.Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, Open Windows, 200 E.
