Ms. Mary Ellen Phillips Parham, 73, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on September 4, 1949 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Edward H. "Pete" Phillips and Annie Ruth Stancil Phillips. Ms. Parham was a home healthcare CNA and sat with the elderly in her later years. She was also a member of the Price Chapel Church of God, and loved spending time with her family & grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons: Brad Parham (Anna) of Covington, GA, and Michael Parham of Royston; two brothers: Jimmy Phillips of Winder, GA, and Jerry Phillips of Hartwell; three sisters: Patricia Bragg of Lavonia, Kate Tramell of Lavonia, and Linda Dickerson of Hartwell; six grandchildren: Aubrey, Phoebe, Maisie, Hannah, Abigail, and Jacob Parham; and one great grandchild: Samuel Huff. Ms. Parham is preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild: Mary Claire Parham.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Ms. Mary Parham will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
