Mary Helen (Englin) Pressley, age 76, of Lavonia, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her home.

Born July 28, 1947, in Lavonia, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Margaret (Looney) Englin. Before retirement she worked for Hartwell Garment. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Pressley loved her family and was known by them as Nanny Helen.

She is survived by daughters: Annette Teate & Sherri Rohn; sons: Bill Ware, Kenneth Ayers & Jeff Rohn; grandchildren: Mathew Bohannon, Brandon Bohannon, Eric Bohannon, Samantha Rohn, Bubby Rohn, Tanya Rohn, Alex Rohn, Cassie Rohn, Austin Rohn, Kristina Ware, Kathy Eads, Aaron Ware, Kayley Ware, Georgia Ayers, Kenny Ayers, Jasper Ayers and Kenleigh Ayers; siblings: Jeanneth Gabriel, Earl Englin, Donnie Englin, Jimmy Englin and Dorothy Kirby; and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Dennis Pressley and granddaughter: Destiny Rohn.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2024, at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Childress and Rev. Charlie Rousch officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
