Mrs. Mary Ward Prince, 90, of Lakeshore Circle, Hartwell, died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at her home.

Born on March 6, 1924 in Atlanta GA, she was the daughter of the late Minor Washington Ward and Amma Cynthia Wright Ward.She was retired from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.Mrs. Prince loved gardening and was a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include two sons: Charles L. Prince of Hartwell and John L. Prince; a sister: Sara Duncan of Snellville; two grandchildren: Chea Prince and John Prince and a great-grandchild: Anthony Prince.Mrs. Prince was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Charles Ochea Prince; a brother: "Buddy" Ward and a sister: Florine McBride.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Sam Dulaney officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to a hospice of one's choice.
