Mrs. Mary Frances (Moore) Ramsey, age 79, of Canon, died Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.
Born September 26, 1935, in Leicester, NC, she was the daughter of the late: Claude and Christine (Angel) Moore. Prior to retirement, she was a secretary with Ramsey Trucking Company. She was a member of Lavonia First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law: Sherry & Mike Williams, Sandra & Bill Chatwin, and Susan & Boyd Merchant; sons and daughters-in-law: Jerry & Susie Ramsey and Thomas & Marie Maxwell; brother: Roger Moore; grandchildren: Cody & Conner Williams, Justin Chatwin, J. J. & Tyler Ramsey, Suzette Norris, Shane Merchant, Justin Merchant, Zackery Merchant, Boyd Merchant, Jr., Morgan Merchant, Katie Maxwell, Kristi Maxwell, Brittani Williams, and Tori Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Herman Bernard Ramsey; and sister: Ruth Ellen Glenn.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Finger officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens - North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home of Mike & Sherry Williams.
