Obituary
Mrs. Mary Frances (Pointer) Satterfield, age 63, of Lavonia, died Monday, February 13, 2012 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born June 1, 1948, in Winterhaven, FL, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Thrasher) Pointer. She retired from Fulton County Library, where she was a librarian. She was a member of Fairview Baptist church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands: Billy Chandler and Don Satterfield; and a sister: Judy Pointer.
She is survived by a daughter: Kimberly Chandler, grandson: Alan Joseph Chandler; sisters: Vickie Sullivan, Virginia Brown, Betty Wooten, Gale Hester, and Ann Pointer; brothers: Billy Pointer and Doug Pointer; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Satterfield's wishes were to be cremated. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
