Mrs. Mary Driver Evans Thomason, 94, of Fairview Ave., Hartwell, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital, Lavonia GA.

Born on May 31, 1921 in Canon, GA, she was the daughter of the late John H. Driver and Lela Sanders Driver.Mrs. Thomason was a homemaker and a member of the Abundant Life Baptist Church.

Survivors include one brother: Morris Driver of Virginia and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Thomason was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband: Snow T. Evans and her second husband: Harrison Thomason; four brothers: John H. Driver, Edward Driver, Charles Driver and Dave Sanders and three sisters: Lettie May Saylors, Naomi Shiflet and Frances Skelton.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 12, 2015, 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Doug Brown officiating.Burial will be in the Northview Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.
