Mrs. Marilyn Matchette Witherington, 87, of Fair Play, SC, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 her home.
Born November 18, 1930, in Atlanta, GA she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Eva Matchette. Prior to retirement she worked as a legal secretary with Morton Levin Law Firm. She was a member of the Lavonia United Methodist Church, Red Hat Society, and the church travel club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph Benjamin Witherington; two sons: Mark Witherington and Lee Witherington; and two siblings. She is survived by her son Phillip Witherington.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Lavonia United Methodist Church with Rev. John Dallas officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the service hour. Graveside will be 2:00 p.m. at Resthaven Garden of Memory in Decatur, GA.
