Mrs. Maryree Stone Thompson, 84, of Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.

Born on July 6, 1931 in Hartwell GA, she was a daughter of the late Ruben Samuel Stone and Fannie Lily White Stone.Mrs., Thompson was retired from Bellcraft Mfg. Company and a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Survivors include one step-son: Ray Thompson and his wife Kathie of Casselberry FL; two step-daughters: Judy Slater and her husband Frank of Hartwell and Diane Madden of Sevierville TN, five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild also survive. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband: Luther T. Thompson; three brothers: Harold Stone, Bernice Stone and Jim Stone and four sisters: Gladys Brown, Imogene Davis, Rosa Dean and Elease Byrum

Funeral services will be Monday, July 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Sunday evening. The family is at their respective homes.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson SC 29621.
