Mrs. Mattie Lou Herring Moore, 85, of Hartwell, died peacefully Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.
Born on January 5, 1927 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Herring and Lillie Tinsey Hembree Herring.Mrs. Moore retired from Bellcraft Manufacturers where she had worked as an inspector and was a member of the Milltown Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Ronald Moore and his wife Angela of Hartwell, GA; one daughter, Patsy Brazell and her husband Larry of Chatsworth, GA; one sister, Jessie Vickery of Hartwell, GA.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George E. Moore; three brothers: Frank Herring, Charles Herring and JC Herring; and three sisters: Ruth Vickery, Elizabeth Farmer, and Virginia Herring; and a grandchild, Buffie Brazell.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Milltown Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Brewer and Rev. Ray Black officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Milltown Baptist Church.The family is at the home.
