Mrs. Mattie Lou Vollrath Stovall, 72, of 789 Old Hwy 29, Hartwell, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

Born on November 29, 1938 in Danielsville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Howard Vollrath, Sr. and Worther Mae Clark Vollrath.She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Pentecostal Fire Baptized Holiness Church.

Survivors include her husband: E. Eugene "Gene" Stovall of the home; two sons: Thomas Stovall and his wife, Tina, of Plainville, Mass., and David Stovall of Hartwell; two daughters: Polly Wright and her husband, Terry, of Roanoke, VA, and Barbara Davis and her husband, Tommy, of Hartwell; three brothers: Paul Vollrath of Anderson, James Vollrath of Anderson, and Edgar Vollrath of Commerce; one sister: Sarah Beauchamp of Dacula, GA; and seven grandchildren: Julie Davis, Hannah Stovall, Brittany Wright, Andrew Stovall, Rebecca Stovall, Baylee Stovall and Kennedy StovallMrs. Stovall was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Howard Vollrath, Jr., William Vollrath, and Johnny Vollrath; and four sisters: Ruth Whitlow, Inez Bowers, Mary Ellen Vollrath, and Patricia Vollrath.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Salem Pentecostal Fire Baptized Holiness Church.Burial will follow in the Salem Pentecostal Fire Baptized Holiness Church Cemetery.
