Mrs. Mavis Rumsey Moorhead, 92, of Cade Street, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.
Born on August 9, 1925 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late John S. Rumsey and Lattie Nixon Rumsey.Mrs. Moorhead retired from Bellcraft Mfg Co., where she was an inspector and was a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sister-in-law: Sara S. Rumsey of Hartwell; nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.Mrs. Moorhead was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Leonard Moorhead; a sister: Sue Anderson and a brother: John Tom Rumsey.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Sam Dulaney and Mr. Mitch Slaton officiating.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.The family is at their respective homes. Memorials may be made to the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 116 Boleman Hill Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
