Mrs. Maxine Parham Kellum, 80, of Nancy Dr., Hartwell, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at her home.
Born on January 2, 1935 in Easley, SC, she was the daughter of the late Howard A. Parham and Martha Payne Parham.She was a retired human resource manager with EPA in Athens and a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.Mrs. Kellum loved her children, grandchildren and extended family.She also loved her church, her music, singing in the choir and traveling abroad and you rarely saw her without a smile. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her four sons: Steven Kellum & Vicki of Silverton, OR, Rev. Gregory Kellum & Sharon of York, SC, Randall Kellum of Eugene, MT, Richard Kellum of Dunwoody, GA; one daughter Lisa Kellum Smith of Decatur, GA; two brothers: Arnold Parham of Hartwell and Floyd Booth of Pendleton, SC; one sister: Betty Evans of Hartwell; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Kellum was preceded in death by two brothers: Leroy Parham and Lewis Parham.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. John Silver, Rev. Gregory Kellum and Rev. Phillip Patterson officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Comer, GA.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
