Obituary

Mr. Marshall Maxwell Brown, 86, of Elberton Hwy, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Born on November 27, 1931 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Benson Chandler Brown and Jewel Thornton Brown.Mr. Brown worked in the textile industry as a manager for Clark-Schwebel of Washington, GA.He was a member of the Bio Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.He also was a member of the Gideon's International.Mr. Brown was a US Air Force veteran serving from 1953 to 1955 in the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife: Amanda McGee Brown; one son Dale Hart (Lisa); three daughters: Gale Harbin, Sandra Powell (Billy) and Donna Brown (Richard); one brother: Thornton Brown; grandchildren: Jamie Land, Amy Johnson, Kim Vaughter, Shannon Junkins, Haley Gurley, Jessica Eaton, Jaron Hart, Julianna Hart, Jaylin Hart, Karis Brown, Cason Brown, Kimbrell Brown, Cole Brown, Kamryn Brown, Nona Brown, Maxwell Brown, Jessie Brown, and Martha Brown. Also he was blessed to have many great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.Mr. Brown was preceded in death by two brothers: William Brown and Jimmy Brown.

A memorial service celebrating Maxwell's life will now be held at a later date because of circumstances beyond the families control and will be rescheduled in a few weeks.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hart Co. Camp Gideon's International, P.O. Box 59 Hartwell, GA or to the Bio Baptist Church, 2145 Bio Church Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
