Ms. Melanie Charlene Murphy, age 46, of 475 Lakeview Drive, Lavonia, died Sunday, March 30 at her home.
Born July 29, 1961, in Fulton County, she was the daughter of Charles L. Murphy and the late Evelyn Guynell (Sosby) Murphy. She was a waitress and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her father; fiancée: Dan Orowski; son: Jonathon Chase Fulgham serving in Iraq; daughters: Tiffany Benson of Fair Play, SC, Adrian Fulgham of Florida, Carrie Johnson of Athens, and Kristie Jackson of Tennessee; and granddaughter: Brittany Millsap. She was predeceased by her mother and a brother: Jeffrey Lee Murphy.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Franklin Memorial Gardens – North with Rev. Bruce Moore officiating. The family will be at the home of her father, 914 Grady School Road, Lavonia, and will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
