Mrs. Melba Jean Floyd, 52, of 80 Baker Street, Hartwell, died Friday, January, 6, 2012 at her home.
Born on March 15, 1959 in Thomson, GA, she was the wife of Henry L. Floyd and daughter of the late Melvin Pennington and Beatrice Pennington.She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her husband; one son: Dennis Floyd and his wife Ramona, of Hartwell; one daughter: Tracy Seymour and her husband, David, of Hartwell; one brother: Donnie Pennington of Abbeville, SC; and one sister: Mildred Latham of Abbeville, SC; six grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Craig Pennington; and one grandchild, Jessica Ray.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lonnie Bennett and Rev. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday.The family is at the home of Dennis and Ramona Floyd, 137 Old Reed Creek Road, Hartwell.
