Melissa Deanna Osley Lunsford, age 57, of Royston, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 4, 1964, in Franklin County, daughter of Robert Osley and Joanna Smith. She attended Franklin County High School and graduated from Hart County High School, Class of 1981. After graduating from Athens Technical College, Melissa worked as a hairdresser for many years. Most recently, she worked as a caregiver. Melissa was a member of Rice Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her parents: Robert & Dot Osley and Joanna & Jerry Hall; son & daughter-in-law: Alex & Nikki Lunsford; daughter & son-in-law: Meredith & Devan Woody; grandchildren: Everett Lunsford and Natalie Woody; step-sisters: Tammie Newings, Tracy Clements, Susie Johnson, and Shawn Lieth; and aunt & uncle: Jan & Mike Black.

Melissa was cremated in accordance with her request. There will be a private family service at a later date.
