Miss Melissa True Montgomery, 54, of Clairmont Avenue, Elberton, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 in Hartwell.

Born on April 5, 1968 in Tampa, FL, she was the daughter of Ruth Ann Webster Montgomery and the late Lawrence Hayward Montgomery. Miss Montgomery was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her mother; daughter: Destiny Montgomery of Cornelia, GA; brother: Lawrence Montgomery; and two sisters: Leslie Crocker and Lori Trigilla, both of Brandon, FL.

It was Miss Montgomery's wishes to be cremated and a private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
