MICHAEL JOHN BRODSKY
IVA- MA2 Michael J. Brodsky, 33 of TAMARAC, Florida died on July 21, 2012 due to injuries suffered while assigned in Afghanistan. Michael was stationed in San Diego, California. Michael was first assigned to Sasebo, Japan, 2001-2004 and proved to be a top notch Master-at-Arms. Michael positively impacted the entire department and was selected to attend the Military Working Dog Course at Lackland AFB, Texas. On August 26, 2005 Michael earned the award of Distinguished Graduate. Michael possessed ten years experience in the Master-at-Arms rate, Navy Military Working Dog Program to include Patrol work, Drug and Explosive Detection.
Born at the Naval hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. He was a United States military working dog handler. Michael joined the United States navy the day after the attacks on the World Trade Center's 9/11/2001
Michael is survived by his Daughter Natalia, Mother Debra Brodsky, Father Steven Brodsky, and Younger Brother Corey Brodsky.
The family will be holding a private ceremony at their residence in South Carolina.
