Mr. Michael Herman Byrum, 58, of Hartwell, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024 at AnMed Medical Center, Anderson SC.

Born on March 24, 1966 in Elberton GA, he was the son of George Herman Byrum and Linda Gail Case Byrum.  He was a former manager of TJ Maxx in Anderson SC and of the Baptist faith. Michael was a US Army Veteran serving as a M.P. in Germany.

Survivors include his parents: George and Gail Byrum of Hartwell; one son: Wil Byrum of Hartwell; two sisters: Tami Byrum of Hartwell, Julie Cannon of Bowersville; two nieces: Abigail C. Brown (Darren), Kenzie Cannon; two nephews: Cody Sosebee, Elijah Nichols (Leighanne) and one great niece on the way. Mr. Byrum was preceded in death by one sister: Teresa Lilly.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home of George and Gail Byrum, Wayne Circle, Hartwell GA.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Michael Byrum will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Military Honors following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christian Appalachian Project, PO Box 758621, Topeka KS 66675-8621.
