Michael Lalon Farmer, age 67, of the Gumlog Community, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, July 22, 2023.

He was born, June 4, 1956, in Franklin County, the son of the late Lalon and Vadis Brady Farmer. His sister Stacey Farmer preceded him in death. Also, his beloved pet, Molly, who was his companion for 19 years preceded him in death. Mike was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Lavonia. He worked for Gumlog Bar B Q as long as his health permitted. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his brother & sister-in-law: Keith & Renee Farmer; sister & brother-in-law: Sherry & Lloyd Bradley; niece: Meghann Farmer; and nephews: Mitch Farmer, John Bradley, and Jake Bradley

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2023 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. A private graveside service will follow at the Lavonia City – Burgess Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the North East Georgia Animal Shelter, 870 Bear Creek Road, Lavonia, GA 30553.
