Obituary
Mr. Michael Gus Thompson, 40, of 161 Weaver Trail, Canon, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.
Born on January 26, 1973 in the Ancon Panama Canal Zone, he was the son of Judith Gail McLaughlin Taylor and step-son of Brad Taylor.He was a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his mother and step-father: Judy and Brad Taylor of Canon; a brother: James Lee Thompson of Loganville; two sisters: Karen Marie Thompson of Atlanta and Eva Michelle Englin of Lavonia; two step-brothers: Richard Stewart Taylor and Robert Carlton Taylor both of Commerce; a step-sister: Dorothy Lynn Taylor of Acworth; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be Saturday, February 16 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Bill Davidson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at the home.
