Mrs. Michele Elaine (Tolliver) Grizzle, age 48, of Royston, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Watkinsville.
Born December 8, 1969, in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Michael Lee Tolliver, Sr., and Ethel Elaine (Martin) Tolliver. She was the mother of 9 children and fostered over 400 children. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Melinda May Hatcher.
She is survived by her husband: Daniel Grizzle; daughters: Leah Grizzle, Tiphanie Cheek and husband Gavin, Tencie Grizzle, and Selena Grizzle; sons: Michael Grizzle, Christopher Grizzle, Benjamin Grizzle, Nathaniel Grizzle, and Lucas Grizzle; grandchildren: McKenzie McDuffie and Grayson Cheek; brother: Michael Lee Tolliver, Jr. and wife Michelle; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Gordon Church in Royston with Rev. Joey Whitlock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Lewis Bray, Gavin Cheek, Brandon Ledbetter, Brian Ledbetter, Lewis Martin, and Blake McDuffie. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home.
