Mickey Lou Herring, age 72, of Travelers Rest, SC, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born August 22, 1949, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Alton and Victoria Ann (Thornton) Herring. He was an electrical mechanical troubleshooter by trade, having worked for the Michelin Tire Company for 28 years and Bosch for 9 years. He was of the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by his wife: Lilia Margarita Herring of Travelers Rest, SC; daughter: Laura Atehortua of Travelers Rest, SC; grandchildren: Sophia Mazo, Daniel Rojas, and Gianlucca Atehortua of Travelers Rest, SC; and sisters: Laura Alsep of Dacusville, SC and Robin Von Olszewski of Greenville, SC.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Lavonia City Burgess Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.
