Miguel Antonio Quintero Santiago, age 79, of Hart County, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at his home after an extended illness.
Born on September 29, 1945, in Barranquilla, Colombia, Miguel was the son of the late Clemente Quintero and Flor Maria Santiago Quintero. His early life in Colombia shaped his values and love for family.
After his retirement, Miguel moved to the Hartwell community, where he cherished spending time with both friends and family. Miguel especially adored his dogs. He was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his parents, Miguel was preceded in death by his brothers: Ciro Quintero, Fernando Quintero, and Rafael Quintero; and his sisters: Atalia Guevara, Aminta Quintero, Alba Arciniegas, and Gladys de La Hoz.
Miguel is survived by his beloved wife, Irma Choperena Quintero; daughters, Liliana M. Quintero and Monica Rodriguez; and son, Michael A. Quintero. He is also survived by his brother, Olegario A. Quintero, and sister, Yolanda Urtaris. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Diego Miguel Rodriguez, Adriana V. Rodriguez, Keandra V. Quintero, Joaquin J. Quintero, and Jhournee J. Quintero, as well as his great-grandchildren: Keontae L. Maxwell and Dominick A. Rodriguez.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Miguel's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the funeral home chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories two hours prior to the service. Following the ceremony, Miguel will be cremated in a private service.
