Mr. James Michael "Mike" Doker, 60, of Carnesville, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Hospice of Northeast Georgia in Gainesville, GA.

Born on August 20, 1965, in Atlanta, GA, he was the son of Doris Tschudy Doker and the late Paul John Doker. Mr. Doker was a welder for Bear Creek Solutions, and was of the Catholic faith. Mike enjoyed mountain biking, and spending time with his children and wife.

Survivors include his mother: Doris T. Doker of Danielsville, GA; wife: Wendy Schiffer of Carnesville; eight children: Bo Doker, Natalie Doker (Jocias Vasquez Chan), Baer Schiffer (Sharon), Lochlan Schiffer (Leah), Cadence Schiffer, Dahlia Schiffer, Casey Schiffer, and Miles Schiffer; two brothers: Lt. Col. Dr. Tom Doker (Lisa) of Aiken, SC, and Joe Doker (Tara) of Cumming, GA; one sister: Susan Cohran of Cumming, GA; and one grandchild: Rhett Schiffer.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. It was Mr. Doker's wishes to be cremated following the visitation.

A Memorial Mass for Mr. Mike Doker will be held Friday, November 28, 2025 at 12:00 noon at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Tuan Pham Nguyen officiating.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
