Mrs. Mildred Isom Bowers, 83, of 51 Linda Dr., Hartwell, died Saturday, December 8 at Hartwell Health Care Center.

Born on October 8, 1924 in Hart Co. GA, she was the daughter of the late Grover Isom and Ruby Vickery Isom.She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son: David Bowers of Hartwell; two daughters: Jan Bailey and her husband Larry ofHartwell and Judy Harris and her husband Rev. Bill Harris of Boiling Springs SC; three grandchildren: Lori Coates, Wes Bailey and Leslie Delozier; five great grandchildren: Caleb Delozier, Catie Delozier, Will Coates, Jacob Coates and Grant Coates also survive.Mrs. Bowers was preceded in death by her husband: Carey Bowers; three brothers: Frank Isom, Johnny Isom & Emil Isom and two sisters: Eula Mae Skelton & Mary Mouchet.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Joe Black and Rev. Bill Harris officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon.The family is at the home of Jan and Larry Bailey, 326 Azalea Dr., Hartwell, GA
