Mrs. Mildred Jenkins Comolli, age 82 of 859 Melody Point, Hartwell, Ga., died July 3, 2009 at her home.

Born November 14, 1926 in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Joseph I. Jenkins and Jean Craft Jenkins. She was retired from the Elbert County Board of Education where she served as a teacher for a number of years. Mrs. Comolli was a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, Stephen Heard Chapter of the DAR and Fort James Chapter of Colonial Dames.

She is survived by: daughter, Jean Craft Comolli of Bethesda, MD, nieces, Joe Jean Borowski of Stone Mountain, Ga., Dr. Mary Powell of Thompson, Ga., Liz Wolfe of Savannah, Ga., Billie Clyde Barnett of Atlanta, Ga., Mary Sprague of Savannah, Ga., and nephew, Jeff Willis of Columbus, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Constantine Comolli, Jr.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from Hartwell First United Methodist Church. Dr. R. Allen Stewart will officiate. Private burial will be at Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton, Ga. The family will receive friends following the service in the church.
