Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Starr Holland, 91, of Holly Hills Drive, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on May 20, 1925 in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Louis David Starr and Mamie Saylors Starr.Mrs. Holland was a homemaker and a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church and attended Abundant Life Baptist Church and the Golden Agers.She also loved to swim at the YMCA, playing bridge, bowling and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son: William "Bill" (Marijean) Holland, III of Hartwell; two granddaughters: Amy (Grady) Morris, Beth (Kevin) Allen; three great-grandchildren: Mari Brooks Morris, Blaire and Brynn Allen.Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: William E. "Bill" Holland, Jr.; one brother: James Starr and one sister: Imogene Putnam.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 11:00 am at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. Allen Stewart officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
