Mrs. Mildred Clemmer "Mickey" Stone, age 87, of Toccoa, died Monday, November 17, 2008 at Heritage Nursing Center of Toccoa.
Born February 16, 1921, in Gaston County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence C. & Kate (Hoffman) Clemmer. She was a past president of Home Extension and a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church in Stanley, NC, where she was a member of the Church Circle. Mrs. Stone was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Mary Lou Hunt; brothers: Raymond, Ralph, Clarence, & Herman Clemmer.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: David & Donna Stone of Toccoa; daughter: Kaye Stone of Toccoa; sister: Dorothy Cherry of Stanley, NC; grandson: Stephen C. Stone of Stanley, NC; and great-grandchildren: Hannah & Elijah Stone of Stanley, NC.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Highway 27, Stanley, NC.
