Mrs. Minnie Lee (Dean) Brock, 96, of Lavonia, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at her home.
Born November 27, 1921, in Martin, GA, she was the daughter of the late James B, and Nancy (Hunter) Dean. She was a Vaccination Technician with Columbia Farms and was a member of Martin Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: William Howard Brock and Roger Dean & Mary Brock; her grandchildren: Charity Shawn Brock and Christopher Brian Brock; and special nieces: Susan Harris, Ellen Chappelear and Wanda Mansfield.. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Odis William Brock; and her siblings: Hoyt Dean, Frank Dean, Jack Dean, Mary Barnes, Christine Whitlock, Luly Sanders, Dick Dean, Howard Dean, Bill Dean, James Dean and Effie Dean.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Renfro and Rev. Tommy Childress officiating. Burial will follow in Lavonia City-Burgess Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Hunter Chappelear, Tanner Williams, Scott Prickett, Winfred Brock, Wayne Brock and Leon Roach.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home.
