Mrs. Minnie Sue Cordell Dyar, 85, of Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 12, 2015, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 28, 1929 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Albert Cordell and Fannie Shiflet Cordell.Mrs. Dyar was a retired office manager from Hartwell Elementary School and a Hart County School Bus Driver and a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.She also was a member of the Homemaker Sunday School Class, Happy Harts and Share-A-Vision Women's Mission Union, and various church committees.Mrs. Dyar was a member of the Pilot Club of Hartwell and a former member of the Business Professional Women of Hartwell.

Survivors include two daughters: Sherry D. Lawrence and Crystal D. Navarro both of Hartwell; seven grandchildren: Amie Lawrence, Jennifer Tucker, Amanda Broome and her husband Pete, Craig Campbell, Ellie Andrew and her husband Johnny, Demi Navarro, and Clenard "Clint" Campbell; three great-grandchildren: Adam Broome, Derrick Cook and Josiah Andrew; two sisters: June Hilley and her husband Doug of Hartwell and Naomi "Pete" Hope of Dewy Rose and her loving caregiver: Delisa Hill. Mrs. Dyar was preceded in death by her husband: Clenard J. Dyar; one son: David Dyar and one brother: Hugh Cordell.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. John Silver and Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 Tuesday evening. Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church Building Fund, 4359 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, Ga. 30643.The family is at the home of her daughter Sherry Lawrence, 3310 Anderson Hwy.
