Mrs. Miriam Shivers Milford Welborn, 84, of 459 Watsadler Rd., Hartwell, died Saturday, April 26, 2007 at Hart Co. Hospital.
Born on June 9, 1922 in Warren Co, GA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Raymond Shivers and Levert LaRoque Dyer Shivers.She was retired from Hartwell Garment and was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church, a Nursery and Youth worker for several years and a member of the Senior Adult SS Class.
Survivors include a daughter: Jackie M. Brannon and her husband Johnny of Hartwell; two grandchildren: Tamara Cobb of Hartwell and Christy Kesling of Acworth; three great-grandchildren: Lauren Cobb, Nolen Cobb and Spence Kesling.Mrs. Welborn was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Jack M. Milford; son: Jerry M. Milford; two sisters: Sara Shivers and Edith Jackson and four brothers: Raymond, Guy, Lloyd and Leon Shivers.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.The family is at the home.
