Mollie Lue (Johnson) Thomason, age 91, of Lavonia, died Friday, March 18, 2016 at AnMed Health in Anderson.
Born March 4, 1925, in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late Lurch and Alma Johnson. She worked in packing at Nabisco Bakery. Mrs. Thomason was a nurse during World War II and she was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Mern Bowen, Charlie Hopkins and Edna Little.
She is survived by daughter: Peggy Sue Segars; son: Harrison "Allen" Thomason; grandchildren: Anna Gaines, John Harrison Segars, Christopher Stewart Segars; and great grandchildren: Brittany Nicole Gaines and Hunter Eugene Gaines.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m. with procession to follow.
