Mr. Morris Partain, age 58 of 1895 Montevideo Rd., Elberton Ga., died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Hart County Hospital.
Born on February 15, 1948 in Elbert Co. GA, he was the son of the Elmer R. Partain and the late Beatrice Smith Partain.He was a cattle farmer and a graduate of North Georgia Tech.He was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his Wife: Jamie White Partain of the home, Father: Elmer Partain of Elberton; Children: Aaron Partain and his wife Amanda of Hartwell, Penney Byrum and her husband Joey of Hartwell, Marcie Burdette and her husband Marcy of Hartwell and Chance Partain of Iva, SC; brother Larry Partain of Elberton and sister Linda Cannon of Elberton. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Audrey Partain, Adam Partain, Hoyt Partain, Cody Byrum, Molly Byrum, Mallarie Burdette and Myles Burdette.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Ed Sayer, Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Mike Smith will officiate. Entombment will be at a later date in the family mausoleum.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home – Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday night.The family is at the home.
