Mozelle (Burdette) Dutton, age 82 , of Lavonia, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospice House.
Born May 11, 1930 in Louisville, GA, she was the daughter of the late E. P. & Hassie (Richardson) Burdette. She worked as a seamstress and was an Avon Representative. Mrs. Dutton was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William M. Dutton; brothers: Tillman Burdette & Hubert Burdette; sisters: Essie Harris, Bessie Parham & Dorothy Massey.
She is survived by daughter & son-in-law: Linda & Tommy White of Lavonia; daughters: Judy Dixon & Becky Turner both of Lavonia; grandchildren: Chris & Brian White, Adriane Smith & her husband Robbie, Jay, Matt & Betsy Poe; great grandchildren: Cameron, Taylor, Tyler & Jordyn.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Holland, Rev. Paul Jameson & Rev. Jason DeFoor officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30. Burial will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the funeral home. At other hours the family will be at the home of Tommy and Linda White.
