Mozelle Segers Royston, age 90, of Lavonia, Georgia, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023. She was born on July 16, 1932, in Carnesville, Georgia.

Mozelle was the daughter of the late J. H. and Emmie Segers. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Lavonia. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and Friend.

She is survived by her children: Faye Bruce (Tony), Renee' Andrews (Rodney); grandchildren: Tiffany Turpin (Jason), Christy McCollum (Marty), Blake Andrews (Laura), Braden Holland (Chuck), Shena Bruce (Matthew), and Haley Cheek (Ben); , 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Rachel Chatham. There are countless others that loved Mozelle or as, she was known to many, Mema.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lindbergh Royston, son, Roger Lebern Royston and siblings: Carl Segers, John Segers, N.J. Segers, Lee Segers, Harrison Segers, Jr., Alvie Segers, Irene Hall, Wilda Mae Watson and Betty Brown.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the service. Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens North.
