Nancy (Johns) McCann, 86, of Ashville, NY passed away peacefully on January 10, 2021 at her daughter's home in Lavonia, Georgia.
She was born on June 22, 1934, in Brookville, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie (Plyer) Johns. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Devere (Tom) McCann whom she married on May 1st, 1954.Nancy graduated from Celeron High School in 1952, then attended the Jamestown School of Practical Nursing and received her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at Jamestown General Hospital from 1969 until its closure. She enjoyed golf, cards, and bowling. After retirement she and her husband enjoyed spending the winters in North Port, FL and summers in Hidden Valley Camp Ground in Kiantone, NY.
She is survived by her children Cindy Guiffreda of Fredonia, NY, Craig McCann of Jamestown, NY, Kirk McCann of Trinity, Fl, and Carrie (Kyle) Larson of Lavonia, GA. She had nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
No visitation or services will be held. Memorials may be made to the: Robert S. Guiffreda Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, 418 Spring Street Jamestown, N.Y. 14701.
