Mrs. Naomi Elizabeth Ballenger Ayers, 87, of 129 Pine Valley Drive, Royston, GA, died Thursday, December 04, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born May 27, 1921 in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joe Ballenger and Mattie Welborn Ballenger.She was an Inspector at the Hartwell Company; Member of Hartwell First Baptist Church and member of the Ruth Sunday School Class.
She is survived by:Sisters, Christine Herring of Royston, GA and Polly Bowers of Hartwell, GA. and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, John W. Ayers; Brother, Nelson Ballenger; Half brothers, Charlie Ballenger and John Ballenger and Half sister, Nannie Sue Phillips;
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Dr. F. Hugh Kirby will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Friday night from 6 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Hartwell First Baptist Church, 81 E. Howell Street, Hartwell, GA30643.
