Obituary
Mrs. Nell Elizabeth Mort, 99, of Idlewood Acres, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at her home.
Born on July 5, 1919 in Suffolk, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Babb and Nellie Nichols Babb.Mrs. Mort was a retired LPN for Merritt Island Memorial in Merritt Island, FL and a member of the Bio Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband: Charles E. Mort I; two daughters: Florence Tewell and Ellen Knight both of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren: Kim Dossey, Marshall Tewell, Beth Ann Hammons, Cindy Dunla, Donnice Siegel, Sandy Haro and John Guy Quick and several great grandchildren. Mrs. Mort was the last surviving member of her siblings.
A memorial service celebrating Nell's life will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bio Baptist Church with Rev. Troy Ayers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bio Baptist Church, 2145 Bio Church Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
