Mrs. Nellie (McGaha) Gray, 88, of Lavonia, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at Brown Health and Rehabilitation.
Born January 7, 1929, in Sandy Springs, SC, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Hattie (Martin) McGaha. She was a homemaker and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Jimmy Gray & Brenda, Kathryn Gray White & Donnie and Theresa Gray Coleman; Seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: James W. Gray.
The funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. John Forbes officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. At other hours the family will be the home.
