Ms. Nezzie Bolmon Thomas, age 78, of Royston, died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center.
Born April 2, 1934, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Polly Bolmon. She retired from Stone Maunfacturing and the Franklin County Senior Center. Mrs. Thomas attended True Life Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Harold Lee "Junior" Thomas, Jr.; brothers: Luel Bolmon and Eugene "Booty" Bolmon; former husbands: Harold Lee Thomas, Sr. & Jimmy Stowe and companion Emory Brandon.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Pat and Don Oliver of Lavonia; son and daughter-in-law: Carl and Ila Thomas of Lavonia; brothers and sisters-in-law: James and Joyce Bolmon of Royston and William and Gladys Bolmon of Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law: Nettie "Pee Wee" and Raymond Powell of Lawrenceville; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Dove and Rev. Joe Renfro officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at their respective homes.
