Obituary
Mr. Norman Ray Truesdale, 68, of 86 Raindrop Circle, Hartwell, GA, died Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Hart County Hospital.
He was born October 14, 1939 in Dothan, AL.He was employed with Watkins Associated Industries, where he was Vice-President of Corporate Security for over 30 years.He was a member of Northwestern Traffic Institute, representing Georgia.He received a Master's in Criminal Justice from Troy State University. He was a member of Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club, a member of American Legion Post 109 and a Mason; former Lieutenant for Columbus Police Dept., Honorary Georgia State Trooper; He was also a U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by: Wife, Cindy Truesdale of Hartwell, GA; Daughter, Tracy Haskins of Duluth, GA and a grandson, Harland Haskins.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Dr. R. Allen Stewart will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 – 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.The family is at the home.
On Monday, August 11, 2008, Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 p.m. at Bill Head Funeral Home in Duluth, GA.The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service.
Memorials may be made to Hart County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1062, Hartwell, GA30643.
