Mr. Arthur Norris Yeargin, 68, of Holmes Road, Dewy Rose GA, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens GA.

Born on November 12, 1949 in Elberton GA, he was the son of Nina Hilley Yeargin and the late Arthur Newt Yeargin.Mr. Yeargin was a graduate of North Georgia Tech, where he received his Electrician and Radio/TV Repair Degrees.Norris was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Anderson SC, where he was a Counter Clerk and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, where he served during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his mother: Nina H. Yeargin of Elberton; his wife: Sheena Todd Yeargin of Dewy Rose, a son: Artie Yeargin and his wife Gina: a grandson: Michael Yeargin and a sister: Donna Yeargin all of Elberton.

A memorial service celebrating Norris' life will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Military Honors and Masonic Rites will follow the service.

The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.The family will be at the home of his son: Artie & Gina Yeargin, 1717 Martin Villa, Elberton.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1543 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell GA 30643.
