Mrs. Olivia Evans Burbick, age 74, of 24 Burbick Lane, Hartwell GA, died Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens.

Born March 11, 1934 in Hart County, she was a daughter of the late Early A. Evans and Maude Skelton Evans. She was retired from Ryobi Corporation with twenty five years of service and she was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church, Fidelis Sunday School Class, Happy Hearts, Share a Vision and former Choir member and was a member of the Hartwell UDC.

She is survived by: Husband of the home, James L. (Jim) Burbick, son, David L. Burbick of Hartwell, Ga., brother, Lucius Evans of Hartwell, Ga., and sister, Frances McCoy of Anderson, S.C., she is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Dana Olivia Burbick, brothers, Alfred, Luther, Amos,Joe Robert and Benson Evans.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Sardis Baptist Church. Rev. John Silver and Rev. Carter Tucker will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be at the home. Memorials may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church Restoration Fund of the Old Sanctuary, P.O. Box 1219, Hartwell, Ga. 30643
