Mrs. Olivia M. Hicks Cobb, 87, of New Prospect Road, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Elbert Memorial Hospital, Elberton.

Born on November 14, 1928 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late L. B. Hicks and Genie White Hicks.Mrs. Cobb was a former beautician's assistant at Lakeside Beauty Salon and was a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter: Barbara C. Vaughn & Roger of Chickamauga GA; three sons: Donnie Cobb & Judy, Terrell Cobb and Calvin Cobb & Carol all of Hartwell; a sister: Lula Standridge of Hartwell; twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her husband: James Terrell Cobb; two brothers: J. B. Hicks and Sam Hicks and a sister: Grace C. Haygood.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tommy Cleveland and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.The family is at their respective homes.
