Mr. O'Neal M. Kelley, 93, of Royston Hwy, Canon, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Athens.

Born on January 5, 1931 in Carnesville GA, he was the son of the late Sloan D. Kelley and Nalma Stewart Kelley.  Mr. Kelley was the founder of Kelley Builders, member of the Nancy Hart Masonic Lodge #690 and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Betty Sue Reed Kelley, two sons: Ronald Kelley (Martha Sue) and Dale Kelley (Robin) all of Canon; two grandchildren: A.J. Kelley (Hannah) of Canon and Christy Yeargin (Ted) of Bowersville; three great grandchildren: Colt Yeargin, Ty Yeargin and Easton Kelley also survive.  Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by three brothers: Ed Kelley, Frank Kelley and George Kelley and a sister: Betty Dickerson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.

Graveside services for Mr. O'Neal Kelley will be Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.

Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
