Mrs. Opal Irene Moon Todd, 82, of 94 Grizzle Street, Royston, GA, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson, SC.
Born April 18, 1926 in Elbert County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Boyd Moon and Ruth Fleeman Moon.She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Elberton, GA.
She is survived by:Daughter, Sheena Todd Yeargin and her husband Norris of Dewy Rose, GA; Sons, Jerry Wayne Todd and his wife Charlene of Starr, SC and Mark "Wink" Todd and his wife Dallas of Anderson, SC; Brother, L.B. Moon, Jr. of Bowman, GA; Sisters, Eloise M. Carithers of Greenville, SC, Betty M. Stamps of Royston, GA, Glenda M. Kidd of Dewy Rose, GA; Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.She is preceded in death by Parents; Husband, Jesse Joe Todd; Brother, Garnet F. Moon and a sister Winona M. Moore.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Jim Winn will officiate.Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Bowman, GA.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 – 8:00 p.m. The family is at the home.
