IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pamela C.
Renfroe
December 31, 1944 – August 3, 2024
Pamela Renfroe passed away in Anderson, South Carolina on August 3, 2024. She was born December 31, 1944, at Anderson Hospital in Anderson SC, the daughter of Fredrick Floyd Cunningham and Verda Floyd Walker.
Pamela had an interest in art from early childhood. Upon graduation from Hart County High School in 1963, she attended the University of Georgia, where she majored in art. After two years of studies, the desire to travel led her to a job with Eastern Airlines in Charlotte, North Carolina where she met her husband, Bob.
In 1978, Pamela, her husband and children moved back to Georgia where she became inspired by the beautiful country setting and set out to make painting her career. Recognizing her special talent, her husband encouraged her to pursue her passion. She started out exhibiting her work at local art shows, but invitations to larger and more prestigious shows soon followed, along with features on radio and television and in many magazines. In 1989 she was commissioned for a magazine cover that featured a rural country store with Coca-Cola advertising signs. This became the first of many works licensed by the Coca-Cola Company. Later, license engagements include John Deere, Dairy Queen, the Elvis Presley Estate, and REA. Her admirers describe her work as giving them the feeling they could walk into the painting and become part of the scene.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Bob Renfroe; her children, Jeff Renfroe (Erin), and Jill Edee; her grandchildren, Livvy Edee and James Edee; her brother; Mark Cunningham and her beloved cat, Vanessa. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Melanie Norris and Elizabeth Copeland.
Family and faith were her highest loves and she freely gave of that love to all who met her and to the whole world. Pamela had the heart of God and a true gift.
